Riyadh, Jan. 2 (BNA): Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani has sharply condemned a nightclub attack in the Turkish city of Istanbul, which left many civilians dead or wounded.
Al-Zayani, in a press release, termed the attack as a "terrorist horrible crime that runs counter to all human and moral values," according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)

The GCC chief voiced the solidarity of the GCC member states with the Turkish government in its ongoing efforts to fight terrorism.

Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag said earlier Sunday that 39 people, including Arabs and foreigners, were killed and 65 others wounded in an attack that targeted a nightclub in Istanbul, KUNA reported.
