HM King Hamad Receives Admiral Mike Mullen |

Manama - Feb 24 (BNA) -- His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al Safriya Palace chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen, who arrived in Bahrain as part of a regional tour. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, attended the audience. The two sides discussed regional developments, strong bilateral relations and ways of promoting cooperation, particularly in the military field.
HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s firm keenness to promote relations of friendship with the US and bolster cooperation in all sectors, extending thanks to the US administration for backing the national dialogue initiative in Bahrain. "The probe committee in charge of investigating the recent regrettable incidents is continuing its work", he said, stressing firm keenness to ensure citizens’ safety and establish each party’s rights. Admiral Mike Mullen reiterated the US commitment, as an ally and friend of Bahrain, lauding HRH Prince Salman’s wise approach to the multi-party national dialogue. "The Kingdom of Bahrain has taken giant leaps under HM the King’s reform project within ten years", Admiral Mullen said, stressing his country’s support for the relations of friendship and bilateral partnership.
